Prof. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of the Supreme Council of Universities, has decided, by Ministerial Resolution No. (1607) on August 19, 2025, to issue the internal regulations (postgraduate studies stage) with the credited-points system for the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, as follows:
After reading Law No. (49) of 1972, which regulates universities and amends other laws. The executive regulations of the Universities Regulation Law, as well as subsequent amendments, were issued by Presidential Decree No. (809) in 1975.
Ministerial Resolution No. (4746) on December 15, 2013 concerning the start of studies and the application of the internal regulations of the Faculty of Medicine, Assiut University, (postgraduate studies) stage, with the credited-points system issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (1098) on May 24, 2011, to the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, and the decisions amending it.
Aswan University Council approved the proposal at its April 24, 2024 session.
The approval of the Medical Studies Sector Committee’s sessions on April 17 and May 17, 2025.
The approval of the Supreme Council of Universities’ session on July 26, 2025.
As a result, His Excellency decided to “issue and implement internal regulations (postgraduate studies phase) based on the credit-based system for the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University,” with the condition that any text contradicts its provisions shall be cancelled. All appropriate bodies are expected to carry out this decision.
