Within the framework of the ongoing scientific activity of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine, Aswan, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, in the presence of Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, under the supervision of Prof. Nahla Waer Shady, Head of the Department, the Department, in partnership with the Upper Egypt Association for Microsurgical Intervention, held a workshop on:
“Advanced laparoscopy in hysterectomy and uterine lift surgeries in cases of uterine prolapse using laparoscopy”
The workshop was held on Thursday, January 30, 2024, in Aswan University Hospital, and was attended by a group of obstetrics and gynecology professors from across the Arab Republic of Egypt. It was extended until Friday, January 31, to include the workshop’s scientific day, which featured lectures and knowledge transfer from established professors to young doctors.
Dr. Nahla, Head of the Department, stated that eight of the most challenging laparoscopic surgeries were performed between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Her Excellency expressed special gratitude to Prof. Mohamed Badawi, Professor of Gynecology at British Canadian University and Assiut University, and Prof. Ali Al-Samman, Professor of Gynecology at Assiut University.
