Aswan University launches three medical, veterinary and agricultural convoys to serve citizens in Al-Hajz village in Edfu Center

Aswan University convoys (medical, veterinary, and agricultural) set off to Al-Hijz village (Bahri Al-Khawy) in Edfu Center yesterday, Saturday, September 28, 2024, as part of the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic for human development, “A New Beginning for Building the Human Being,” under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the President of the University, Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, with the participation of the faculties of medicine, veterinary medicine, agriculture, and water resources

The Faculty of Medicine, Aswan, participated in the convoy to the village of Al-Hajz in Edfu Centre,  which was led by Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

“Nasrat,” the university’s acting president, stated during his meeting with the residents of Al-Hajz Bahri that Egyptian governmental agencies are working on an epic of solidarity and integration to improve the quality of services supplied to citizens.

His Excellency explained that, in coordination with the Governor of Aswan, and with the start of the first day of study for the academic year 2024/2025, convoys were organized in the village of Al-Hajz Bahri, affiliated with the Edfu Centre, targeting approximately 53 thousand people in 14 villages, as the village is included in the presidential initiative, a decent life, noting that the convoys worked for about nine continuous hours.

“Al-Dahshouri,” Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, explained that the medical convoy included seven specialties in the following departments (orthopedics, dentistry, pediatrics, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, and surgery) through the participation of 13 doctors, male and female, and nurses, which resulted in providing medical services and signing medical examinations for 250 patients in the aforementioned specialties, as well as transferring 39 patients.
