Under the patronage of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, Aswan University Hospitals received, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, a delegation from the Comprehensive Health Insurance Oversight and Accreditation Authority in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals. Aswan, Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, to follow up and activate cooperation issues between the two parties.
”Othman” stated that preparations are being made to implement the comprehensive health insurance system in Aswan Governorate, one of the first phase governorates, according to carrying out President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s (President of the Republic) directives, as the Egyptian state works to give every citizen the right to comprehensive health insurance in light of wise vision and strong management which contributed to the implementation of this system aimed at improving the health services provided to citizens under sustainable development goals, and the Egyptian state is eager to complete the ongoing projects, particularly as it prepares to launch the comprehensive health insurance system in the governorates of South Upper Egypt.
It has taken place previously to activate cooperation between the Authority of Comprehensive Health Insurance and the Internal Medicine Hospital at the university. Within this framework, ”Al-Dahshouri,’‘ Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, received a delegation from the Comprehensive Health Insurance Oversight and Accreditation Authority, led by Dr. Ahmed Taha, the president’s authority and his delegation. The delegation also visited and inspected ”Al-Batinah Hospital” to prepare for the accreditation of the Authority’s new specialized internal hospital in Aswan as part of its comprehensive health insurance system. The delegation also praised the infrastructure, modern equipment, outstanding medical level, and superior medical capabilities of the internal hospital in providing high-quality medical care to Aswan residents.
He explained that the Health Care Authority will host a workshop and training for the Specialized Internal Hospital’s medical and administrative staff, as well as nursing staff, to keep up with the new republic’s complete health insurance system.
“Salah,” Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, emphasized the medical capabilities that Aswan University Hospitals has achieved in terms of high-level equipment, which would be a medical milestone in southern Upper Egypt.
