Aswan University participated in the workshop for the preparation of the “Climate Changes and Their Impact on Immune Diseases” diploma at ”Metz” City in France from 23 to 29 September 2022, where the participating delegation from Aswan University was received by the Mayor of Metz, France, and the workshop is held in partnership with 5 Egyptian universities (Al-Azhar University, Cairo University, Ain Shams University, Damanhour University, Aswan University).
This was stated by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, explaining that the university participated in a work team that included: Prof. Shazly Baghdady – project coordinator and professor of chest diseases, allergy, and immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Abdullah Al-Obaidi – Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Medicine.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mohalal, Vice President of Aswan University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs, added that the project is also attended by 3 universities from the European Union (France, Germany, and Greece).
He pointed out that the project outputs will allow graduates, in cooperation with partner universities, to obtain an immunology diploma, in addition to equipping a distinguished laboratory for research and special studies in the field of immunity in the partner universities in the project, as well as communicating with experts and professors of Egyptian and European universities participating in the project fields.
He added that this participation comes within the framework of the cooperation protocol between Aswan University and the participating universities, which was signed in 2020 and ends in 2023 and it will continue for three years with the aim of providing the opportunity for university graduates and young graduates to join the immunology diploma and work on completing studies in European universities and obtaining a doctorate degree in scientific specialization.
