Friday corresponding to 14th Feb. 2020 witnessed the first day of the Fourth International Conference on Pain Management of the department of anesthesiology and surgical intensive care, faculty of medicine, Aswan University, in cooperation with Sohag University under the patronage of Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed and the dean of the faculty of medicine Prof. Mohamed Zaki El Dahshouri. The Conference is supervised by the chairman of the anesthesia and surgical intensive care department, at Sohag University and the scientific supervisor of the department at Aswan university Prof. Ahmed El-Said, and Dr. Hoda Fahmy Mahmoud, the acting chairman of the anesthesia department, faculty of medicine, Aswan university. It was organized by Dr.Saudi Salah, lecturer of anesthesia and surgical intensive care. The event is held in Isis Island Hotel, Aswan, and is scheduled to continue until Monday corresponding 17th Feb 2020. The conference included a selected group of academic staff and their assistants from the two universities, doctors, and foreign experts. It handled the new developments and challenges in the field of pain management and the latest research in the same field. Workshops on the anesthesia of peripheral nervous with ultrasound were held on the sidelines of the conference.
