-An Introduction to Gynecology and Obstetrics:
- The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is located on the second floor of the University Hospital.
The department has a capacity of 37 beds and includes two operating rooms dedicated to obstetric and gynecological surgeries, in addition to a laparoscopy unit and a diagnostic and therapeutic hysteroscopy unit.
The department is also equipped with a 4D ultrasound machine for the detection of fetal abnormalities.
Additionally, the department includes a natural childbirth unit comprising three beds designated for normal deliveries and vaginal examinations
The department is distinguished by a highly qualified academic staff of professors, assistant professors, lecturers, assistant lecturers, and teaching assistants. The department is supervised academically by Prof. Abdo Saeed Ayat Allah, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Faculty of Medicine, Sohag University, while Prof. Nahla Waar El-Sayed Shady, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, serves as Head of the Department.- The department has organized several specialized training courses and scientific activities, including:
