Cardiovascular Medicine Department was established in line with the faculty inauguration in 2013. Dr. Muhammad Kamal Salama, cardiology lecturer at Aswan university, was the acting chairman of the department since its inauguration. He provided great services and contributed to the completion of establishing the new intensive care unit and cardiac catheterization, then Dr. Ramadan Ghaleb Muhammad appointed as the acting chairman of the Department and is continuing the development process. The Department includes a selected group of lecturers, assistant lecturers, resident doctors, nursing staff and academic assistants.
