General Rules

The rules set by the unit’s board of directors that define the type and pricing of medical services supplied to members, as well as what members and their families bear in the event of treatment at Aswan specialized hospitals and hospitals contracted with them, are as follows:

-The unit member bears 25% of the actual costs of medical examinations, analyses, x-rays, treatment services, and physical therapy sessions; the sub-member of the participating family (husband, wife, and children) bears 30% of the actual costs; and the member representing one of the parents bears 60% of the actual costs of the contracted laboratories.

-In terms of surgical operations, the unit member bears 25%, the sub-member of the participating family members (spouse, wife, and children) bears 30%, and the member on behalf of one of the parents bears 60% of the contracting party’s actual costs.

-The unit issues members a free unified treatment card once a year, including their personal information.

-Each card contains five tickets for medical examinations, five for tests (analysis and x-rays), and five for admission to contracted hospitals.

-If the card’s coupons run out or any member of the participating family loses the card, the unit will issue an additional card after depositing 50 pounds into the unit’s bank account for each card and presenting the receipt to the unit’s management.
