Within the framework of Egypt’s hosting of the global climate conference in November 2022, the national institutions seek to support the activities of the climate conference and maximize the benefit of this important event. Within the fruitful cooperation between the British University in Egypt and the United Nations
Development Program (UNDP), pointing out that British University is among the academic institutions’ group «MHESR COP27 Taskforce» headed by H.E. Prof. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar – Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, that aims to fill out the efforts of the academic and research institutions that support Egypt’s directives which are related to the climate agenda, particularly the preparations of hosting «COP27», where it organizes the «COP27 Simulation Model» which is a global model of the Simulation Model in which Egyptian Universities students participate and a number of students from Arabic, African, and European universities.
The model is organized under the auspice of H.E Prof. Mahmoud Mohi El- Din as he is the Climate Leader of the Egyptian Presidency of the conference «COP27».
Where the model will be organized launching from the joint vision of the British University role to achieve the sustainable development goals and Egypt’s vision 2030 and support Egypt’s effort to host the climate conference, where the institutions cooperate to develop students’ skills that are related to raise awareness on the climate issues and the international commitments also developing the negations’ skills and the global and national situations, and editing the voluntary national commitments, this’s beside developing the research skills and the presentation and discussion skills.
