Under the patronage of Aswan university president Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman and faculty of medicine’s dean and Aswan university hospitals CIO Prof. Mohamed Zaki El Dahshoury and executive manager of Aswan university hospitals Dr. Ashraf Meabed, and to complete the series of monthly activities of obstetrics and gynecology department the Department’s Scientific Day was opened today, Thursday, January 13, 2022, under the supervision of Prof. Abdo Said Aitallah, professor of obstetrics and gynecology in Sohag University and the scientific supervisor of the Department in Aswan university faculty of medicine and Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Deen Fahmy , chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology in Aswan university. The Day was organized by Dr. Amr Shehata Abdel-Badi, lecturer of obstetrics and gynecology in Aswan university faculty of medicine, in cooperation with the department of anesthesia and surgical intensive care. The Day handled several scientific lectures delivered by:
– Dr. Amr Shehata Abdel Badie, lecturer at obstetrics and gynecology department, Aswan university faculty of medicine. He gave a lecture entitled:
“Placenta Accreta Spectrum Disorders”
Dr. Diaa Muhammad Dawey, assistant lecturer in the department. He gave a lecture entitled:
“Basic of Doppler”
The attendees included a group of academic staff and their assistants, doctors in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Aswan University Hospital as well as doctors from outside the university; from Aswan governorate and the ministry of health, and postgraduate students (Masters and Ph.D))
On the Day’s sidelines; Dr. Nourhan Magdy, resident doctor in the department, introduced the Department’s Monthly Statistics “OPGYN Dep. Monthly Statistics Using The Robsons’s TGCS” to implement continuing medical education policy. Scientific meetings will continue monthly to track all updates in the field.
