Today, corresponding to 12nd June 2021, Aswan, Aswan Medical Syndicate, in cooperation with Aswan University and Directorate of Health in Aswan, celebrated the graduation of the fifth batch of Aswan Medicine, and the number of graduates from Aswan and neighboring governorates reached 71 doctors.
The ceremony was held at Aroos El-Nil Hall for occasions, it was in attendance of Prof. Mansour kabbash _ Head of Medical syndicate and previous president of Aswan University, Prof. Magdi Mohamed Ali _ vice president for society service and environment development, Prof. Mohamed Zaki Dahshouri _Faculty of medicine dean and Head of Board of directors of Aswan University hospitals, Dr. Hamed Mekky _ Undersecretary of Ministry of Health and Population in Aswan, Prof. Mostafa Adam El-Tiri – Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Mebed – Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, and Dr. Hamed Mekki – Secretary General of the medical Syndicate, Dr. Ahmed Abdel- Hamid _former Deputy of the Sheikhdom of Al-Azhar, Abbot/ Jeremiah Abadi Abdel-Nour, Dr. Hossam Abdel-Fahim – Secretary of the Syndicate, Dr. Rabie Al-Rawah – Member of the Syndicate Council and Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Aziz _member of the medical Syndicate Council_and a group of doctors’ families who came out to attend this party amid a standing ovation, great happiness at the success of the children’s success, an end of an important step in the steps of their brilliant future.
Dr. Magdy_ Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development, stated that the celebration of the graduates of Faculty of Medicine in Aswan is an annual tradition organized by the Syndicate through the ceremony of the Sub- Syndicate, explaining that the number of graduates of Physicians from Aswan and neighboring governorates reached (71) Physicians in the fifth batch of Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. “Kabash_head of the Medical Syndicate in Aswan and the former president of Aswan University_ added that the Medical Syndicate is holding this ceremony in honor of its graduate. This honor considers as an announcement that the medical syndicate is a home for every doctor. The syndicate presents support and rights of doctors in all their specialties.
Dr. “Al-Dahshoury”_ Dean of Faculty of Medicine in Aswan, explained that the graduation ceremony for the fifth batch of 2021 at Faculty of Medicine is a tradition that takes place every year for graduates of internship doctors, adding that doctors were assigned to this batch as representatives and resident doctors to work inside Aswan University Hospital, in various medical specialties; Such as “surgery, gynecology& obstetrics, orthopedics, dentistry and others” which they chose with complete transparency based on their desires according to the total grades of each of them, while some of them work in the academic departments of Faculty of Medicine, and His Excellency indicated that the first academic year of the faculty began in the academic year 2013/2014 after the issuance of the Republican Decree No.(200) of (2013) for establishing Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, whereas students from other governorates joined the faculty in different academic years.
Al-Tiri_Vice Dean of Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs_ explained that 22 new medical departments and specializations have been added in the faculty for students, with establishing new departments that did not exist to perform their services to citizens in the required manner, such as “spine surgery, oncologic surgery, including brain tumors, blood vessels and plastic surgery, burns and various injuries, in addition to modern operations such as catheterization of the brain, heart and arteries”, that the faculty became having 30 departments.
Dr. Mebed_ Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals expressed his happiness with this batch of distinguished doctors to be a new addition in the various departments of the University Hospital in Aswan and a supportive force in serving patients from Aswan and neighboring governorates in light of the development witnessed by Aswan University hospitals.
