Today corresponding to 13th Feb. 2018, the 2nd Conference of Nephrology Department, faculty of medicine was inaugurated in the presence of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, the vice president of graduate studies and research Prof. Ayman Othman, the undersecretary of the ministry of health, Aswan Prof. Ihab Hanafi, the president of the African Society of Nephrology and Organ Transplantation Prof. Jamal Saadi, the president elected of the Egyptian Society of Nephrology and transplantation Prof. May Hassaballah, Prof. Ahmed Halawa , professor of surgery and organ transplantation in England, Prof. Hussein Sheesha, professor of nephrology at Mansoura University, Prof. Ali Taha – chairman of nephrology department in Sohag university, Prof. Osama Al-Minshawi, chairman of nephrology department in Minia university, Prof. Osama Al-Shahat , international ambassador of nephrology, Prof. Fatina Fadel , professor of pediatric nephrology at Kasr Al-Ainy, Prof. Raja Ramadan , professor of nephrology at Al-Azhar University, and Prof. Ibrahim Al-Zayat, consultant of surgery and the president of Dakhlia Doctors’ Syndicate.
The conference was attended by Prof. Hussein Al-Sharif, previous dean of the faculty and professor of surgery and endoscopy, Aswan faculty of medicine. The conference chairman Dr. Hala Al-Obaidi said that the conference had been preceded by a workshop for the detection and treatment of complications resulted of hyperparathyroidism surgically. The conference will last for two days to discuss the latest developments in nephrology.
Prof. Ghellab recommended communication between Aswan University and Egyptian and international ones in the field of nephrology to be in line with the updates in the field in order to serve Aswan patients.
