Today evening corresponding to 27th March 2019, the international conference entitled ” Back to Pediatrics Fundamentals” kicked off under the patronage of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab and the vice presidents. The conference opened by reciting some verses of the Holy Quran followed by the national anthem in the presence of the dean of the faculty of medicine Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshouri, Prof. Mahmoud El-Mogy, professor of pediatrics, the conference’s chairman and the undersecretary of the ministry of health, Aswan Dr. Ihab Hanafi, the general director of Aswan university hospitals Prof. Abdullah Al-Obaidi, the chairman of pediatrics department Aswan university faculty of medicine and the conference’s secretary Dr. Bahaa Al-Hawari and. Prof. Dahshouri confirmed that the university headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab is working on organizing and hosting many medical and scientific conferences to encourage educational tourism and exchange experiences among young doctors. It strives to develop and keep abreast of the latest developments in the various medical specialties in order to achieve quality in Aswan medical system. He welcomed the attendees and delivered as speech after the opening activities. Dr. Hanafi added that the health system in Aswan is witnessing remarkable development since Aswan University opened channels of cooperation and communication with the health directorate and its hospitals. Dr. Al-Mogi expressed his pleasure to be in the faculty of medicine, Aswan university especially in the pediatric department. He added that the conference is a special opportunity to transfer scientific experiences and expertise. Prof. Al-Obeidi said that the faculty of medicine seeks to host many medical conferences where the university has organized more than 12 scientific and medical conferences in this academic year. Dr. Al-Hawari explained that the conference started its activities today and will continue for another three days. The conference discusses the latest development in applied pediatrics. It also handles the updates in children’s vaccinations, children respiratory diseases, care of critical cases, methods of breastfeeding, mothers’ problems in breastfeeding and proper nutrition of children. It was attended by a selected group of pediatric scientists from various Egyptian universities beside Aswan university.
