As part of supporting scientific activities and advancing academic and medical standards, Aswan Governorate witnessed a prominent scientific event on Friday, March 3, 2026, at the Pyramisa Isis Island Hotel in Aswan. The 6th TOP ANDRO DERMA Scientific Day and Workshops was launched in cooperation with the Department of Dermatology, Venereology, and Andrology at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, featuring six accompanying workshops.
The event was attended by distinguished professors of dermatology and andrology, as well as leading specialists, further reinforcing Aswan’s position on the map of medical excellence.
The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nasrat, President of Aswan University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. It was also honored by the presence of Prof.. Mohamed Mostafa Hussein, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals.
The scientific day was chaired by a distinguished panel of experts, including:
–Prof. Ramadan Saleh, Professor of Dermatology and President of the TOP ANDRO DERMA Society.
–Prof. Mostafa Adam El-Tiri, Head of the Dermatology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, and Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research
–Prof. Wafaa Abdel-Magid, Professor of Dermatology and Vice- President of the TOP ANDRO DERMA Society
The event witnessed a large attendance of dermatology consultants and specialists from various Egyptian universities, reflecting the growing prominence of Aswan University as a regional center for advanced medical education.
The scientific program featured a rich and comprehensive agenda, combining modern scientific presentations with practical applications. The sessions addressed the latest advances in:
-Diagnosis and treatment of skin diseases, with comparisons between traditional methods and modern techniques.
-Andrology in daily clinical practice.
The event also included the participation of a distinguished group of university professors, fostering the exchange of expertise and promoting evidence-based medical practice. In addition, advanced hands-on workshops were conducted, including:
-Practical training in (skin biopsy) procedures.
-The use of dermascopy and trichoscope for the detailed examination of skin and hair.
This event underscores Aswan University’s commitment to supporting scientific research and continuous medical education, enhancing the skills of healthcare professionals, and ultimately improving the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.
