In an atmosphere of national and academic pride The Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University organized a special ceremony celebrating the glorious October victories, in conjunction with welcoming the newly admitted students for the academic year 2025/2026.
The celebration was held under the auspices of Prof. Louay Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, and Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, in the presence of the university and faculty leaders, academic staff members, and students.
Prof. Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, expressed his great pleasure in participating in this patriotic event, emphasizing the importance of connecting younger generations with Egypt’s honorable history.
In his speech, His Excellency stated that the glorious October victories represent a great occasion that revives the spirit of determination and triumph — the same values instilled in the students to prepare them as responsible doctors who contribute to building the nation and improving the health of Egyptians in light of the New Republic’s vision.
For his part, Prof. El-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty, affirmed that the faculty is committed to providing an integrated educational environment that combines academic excellence with national identity.
He highlighted that celebrating Egypt’s victories while welcoming new students reflects the faculty’s deep belief in fostering both scientific achievement and patriotic spirit.
He also advised students that excellence and humanity are the hallmarks of a successful doctor, stressing that the faculty’s doors are always open to support them academically, psychologically, and professionally.
The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Mustafa Al-Tayri, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Prof. Mohamed Mustafa Hussein, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Ashraf Maabad, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, along with faculty members, their assistants, and a large number of students.
The celebration featured patriotic artistic performances, inspiring speeches by academic staff, and introductory presentations highlighting the faculty’s academic, educational, and research activities.
The event concluded with the honoring of distinguished department heads and outstanding students, while the freshmen were warmly welcomed in a joyful and family in an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of unity and belonging that distinguishes the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University.
