L’Oréal UNESCO intends to present annual scholarships in collaboration with the UNESCO Foundation through the ‘‘For Women in Science” program, which aims to promote the participation of female scientists in various science fields in Egypt. This program chooses and rewards female distinguished researchers in the following fields (Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Genetics, Physiology, Neuroscience, Biotechnology, Ecology and Ethology) in addition to Physical Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, Mathematics, Engineering Sciences, Information Sciences, Earth and Space Sciences).
The program annually honors three distinguished researchers from Egyptian female youth for their researchers and encourages them to continue their career life in the sciences field; it’s worth noting that the scholarship aims to create new opportunities for universities’ female students and Egyptian institutes and raise their efficiency in front of their participants from all over the world; additionally, it’s contributed to creating a new generation of female researchers.
