The Chest Diseases Department has Launched the Fifth Course in its Series on the Essentials of Life Support

Today, Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Chest Diseases Department at Aswan Faculty of Medicine, under the supervision of Prof. Shazly Baghdadi – Head of the Department and Lecturer of the European and Egyptian Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Council, and organized by Dr. Rabab Adel – Assistant Lecturer in the Department, launched the fifth and final course in a series of scientific courses launched by the Department, under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Mohamed Salad El-Din Fahmy – Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, entitled:

«Advanced Life Support»

Baghdadi, the department’s head, reported that all doctors at the Internal Medicine Specialized Hospital in all departments had undergone basic life support training courses, and “team leader” cadres had been formed for the “code blue team”.

His Excellency noted that these seminars, which were held throughout the month, focused on young doctors to provide a complete explanation of the following:

Aiding blood circulation.
Evaluate the patient’s breathing.
Installing peripheral cannulas.
How to open your airways.
How to manage the CPR procedure for the team leader.
Giving the patient the necessary drugs during CPR.
Using the electric shock device in the optimal way for each situation.
