The Chest Diseases Department hosts its second conference on the most recent advances in chest diseases and crises in the human body

The Faculty of Medicine organized a scientific conference over two days, Thursday and Friday, October 17-18, 2024, under the auspices of Prof. Louay Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, Prof.Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mahalal, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, Prof. Mustafa Adam El-Tayri, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and in the presence of Prof. Ramadan Ghaleb, Director of the New Specialized Internal Medicine Hospital, under the supervision of Prof. Shazly Baghdadi, Head of the Department of Thoracic Surgery and Chairman of the Conference, and a group of Egyptian university professors in various medical specialties.

Louay, the acting president of Aswan University, stated that Aswan University is working to hold scientific and medical conferences within the framework of encouraging educational tourism, working to keep pace with new developments in various medical and scientific specialties, and working to exchange experiences to advance the academic and medical system in Aswan University hospitals and colleges.

Al-Dahshouri, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, stated that the Faculty of Medicine and Aswan University Hospitals have a long tradition of organizing scientific, medical, and research conferences to share experiences between young doctors and experts in various medical specialties. The Chest Diseases Department’s second conference, titled “New in Chest Diseases and Emergencies in Human Determination,” will focus on the impact of these diseases on the chest.

Ghalleb, Director of the Internal Medicine Specialized Hospital and Head of the Cardiovascular Medicine Department, pointed out that the conference discussed how to link cardiac emergencies with chest diseases, how to deal with emergency heart attacks, and new methods of rapid treatment.

Baghdadi, the conference chairman and head of the chest diseases department, explained that the conference was held over two days and concluded on Friday with the participation of a group of college departments (cardiology, internal medicine, neurology, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, general surgery, vascular surgery) to create scientific and medical communication channels to serve the patient, which is called integrative medicine.

Pointing out that the conference included (4) workshops for newly graduated doctors and specialist colleagues at the Ministry of Health, which were held under the title:

How to read blood gas.
How to draw an electrocardiogram.
How to read normal chest X-rays.
How to perform a chest ultrasound and the expected results.

The meeting was also attended by a large number of medical college students from Egyptian universities, as well as professors of chest and other scientific and medical specialties.
