The Urology and Nephrology Department was established at the time of the hospital’s inauguration in 2013. It has continuously developed over the years to become one of the distinguished departments within the university hospital and the Faculty of Medicine.
The department is located on the third floor, in the western wing of the university hospital. It comprises five rooms with a total of 16 beds and 8 units. The outpatient clinic is located in the new clinic building, which includes two clinics.
The department includes a distinguished team of professors, associate professors, lecturers, assistant lecturers, and demonstrators, in addition to highly trained resident doctors and nursing staff.
It provides medical services for emergency and complex cases referred from other hospitals and surrounding areas, offering accurate diagnosis and modern treatment techniques.
The Urology and Nephrology Department at the Faculty of Medicine is committed to preparing qualified physicians capable of delivering high-quality primary healthcare, meeting the diverse health needs of the community, and supporting the national healthcare reform policy.
This is achieved through the introduction of distinguished educational programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in line with modern quality standards, as well as conducting specialized scientific research in various medical fields through:
1-Active engagement in student education within the updated curriculum.
2-Direct supervision of postgraduate programs.
3-Conducting distinguished scientific research in specialized fields and publishing in reputable scientific journals.
4-Providing direct patient care in cooperation with other departments of the faculty.
5-Offering consultation and expertise to physicians in both public and private hospitals.
