Aswan University and the Operation Smile Foundation Egypt are Putting Together an International Convoy to Treat Birth Defects in Children.

Under the auspices of Prof.  Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of Aswan University, and Prof. Mohamed Zaki El Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Aswan University Hospital is announced under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Qenawy Moussa, Head of the Department, and the participant doctors of the department  and the nursing staff and the workers, in cooperation and with the participation of the departments (anesthesia and surgical intensive care – dental – speech – pediatrics – general surgery), for organizing the “international medical convoy” to treat children’s congenital deformities, which include:

Cleft lip.
Cleft palate.
bloody birthmarks
Post-burn deformities.
This is in cooperation with the Operation Smile Foundation- Egypt, and with the participation of a large group of foreign and Egyptian consultants at the international and local levels, during the period from January 27 to February 2, 2023.

Notes:

-The initial examination will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023, at 8:00 a.m. in the outpatient clinics building at Aswan University Hospital.

-The need to send a picture of the case early in the process with an analysis of a blood picture, time, and the patient’s prothrombin concentration.
