
Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, Aswan University President, declared that the medical efforts of Aswan University Hospitals to promote the health system in Aswan come as the result of the interest of the political leadership in Aswan citizens’ health, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Aswan University Hospitals which work on serving patients of the Aswan governorate and patients of the upper Egypt governorates.
In the same context, Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Aswan University Hospitals Administration, confirmed that a number of hospitals and specialised centres will be operational soon after completing the necessary medical preparations, in addition to the entering of the medical service at the Internal Disease Hospital, provides a significant step forward in receiving more cases.
Since the number language never lies, the university hospital has achieved scores may be the first in its history.
El-Dahshoury thanked and appreciated the head of the surgical orthopediology department at Aswan University Hospital and his team for performing 37 high-quality surgical operations ranging from small to large in the previous Wednesday and Thursday, which helped reduce waiting lists at the department. He also thanked all medical cadres at the department, including the assisting body, nursing staff, the anesthesiology and surgical intensive care department.
For his part, Dr. Ahraf Mubaed, Executive Manager of Aswan University Hospitals, pointed out that the university hospital conducted several surgical operations in various departments and that the hospital does not relent in providing health and medical service for patients in light of the available resources at Aswan University Hospital with its various departments, where it’s the only place that receives patients with brain and nerve injuries at the level of the governorate.
Prof. Essam Abo El-Majed, Manager of Surgery Hospital, explained that various departments in the university hospital are in full swing and perform several surgical operations daily, particularly in the orthopediology department, due to the high number of accidents and embodiments they receive.
