font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Prof. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar<\/span> -Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Education received a report from <span style=\"color: #800000;\">Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed<\/span>-Aswan University President_ on the works of the Medical conveys organized by the Faculty of Medicine for Djibouti, in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for development in Ministry of foreign affairs and that from 23 to 28 March 2021.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\">The report indicated that the total number of medical cases for which a medical examination was implemented during the activities of this convoy exceeded 700 cases, during the days of the convoy, in parallel with performing surgeries in various specialties, which included five specialties (general surgery, oncologic surgery, ophthalmology, nose and ear and throat, anesthesia and surgical intensive care), and the convoy distributed free medicines to patients in Djibouti, amounting to nearly half a million Egyptian pounds.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\">The report indicated that the work of the medical convoy was located at the headquarters of \u201cBlingy Hospital\u201d, which is the largest general hospital in the State of Djibouti; To coordinate and exchange experiences with hospital officials and the Ministry of Health, pointing out that it has completed the rest of its work in Ali Sobeih Hospital, which is the second-largest city in Djibouti in terms of population.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\">\u00a0For his part, <span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u201cGhallab\u201d<\/span> indicated that this convoy was organized in line with the announcement of <span style=\"color: #800000;\">President Abdel- Fattah El-Sisi<\/span>&#8211; President of the Republic_ that Aswan is the capital of African youth for 2019; With the aim of supporting our brothers in African countries from the medical area and in various other fields, strengthening Egyptian-African relations.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\">It is worth mentioning that the convoy included a number of Physicians from the Faculty of Medicine of Aswan University in various medical specialties, and they are:<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #800000;\">Prof. Abdel- Rahman Al-Tahan &#8211; Professor of Ear, Nose and Throat and Head of the convoy.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #800000;\">Dr. Anwar Abdo El-Shennawy &#8211; Lecturer of Oncology Surgery.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #800000;\">Dr. Hoda Fahmy Mahmoud &#8211; Lecturer of Anesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #800000;\">Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ismail &#8211; Lecturer of Vascular Surgery.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #800000;\">Dr. Ahmed Abdallah Al-Barawi &#8211; Lecturer of Ophthalmology.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\">\u201cAl-Tahan,\u201d_ the head of the medical convoy in Djibouti and the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs, indicated that Dr. Jame Alami Akea, Minister of Health of Djibouti held a meeting with the members of the convoy in appreciation of their great efforts, that is before they leave Djibouti and return to Egypt, where he presented certificates of gratitude to the members of the medical convoy at the end of its work,\u00a0 \u00a0which lasted for 6 days, in light of the remarkable turnout of patients in Djibouti, in appreciation of their efforts in the success of this convoy, in attendance of the Egyptian ambassador in the Republic of Djibouti. His Excellency explained that the work of the convoy had been achieved in Djibouti, leaving an impact Positively in the hearts of the people of Djibouti and those health officials in Djibouti in Djibouti, and conveyed a message of thanks and gratitude from the Minister of Health of Djibouti to University President and Faculty of Medicine Dean and the Egyptian side to strengthen international relations between the two countries.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; color: #000000;\">Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury_ Acting Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Aswan stated that he was in contact with the medical convoy in Djibouti on a daily basis and that we are working to provide other internal and external medical convoys, and indicated that the convoy had succeeded in performing more than 100 operations. The convoy received a remarkable turnout from patients in <strong>Djibouti<\/strong>, explaining that the Djiboutian side demanded to repeat this medical convoy in different specialties during the coming period. It is expected that a second convoy will be dispatched to the country of Djibouti after the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, in order to establish contact Between the Faculty of Medicine and our African brothers in the African continent.
