Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman<\/span>, Aswan University President, stated that within the framework of the university\u2019s societal and service role to build a bridge of communication and cooperation towards the continent of Africa, yesterday, Saturday corresponding to May 7, 2022, the medical convoy of Aswan University arrived in Tanzania, which is organized by the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University for the sisterly country of Tanzania, during the period from 7 to 20 May 2022; this medical convoy is considered the third internationally for the continent of Africa and the second for the country of Tanzania.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Osman, Aswan University President, added that the convoy will include a number of delicate surgeries for various malformations in the specialty of urology, especially congenital malformations in children in Tanzania, as well as many medical specialties such as orthopedics, tract, general surgery and anesthesia. Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Professor of Urology and Endoscopic Surgery, Prof. Hisham El-Refai – Head of the Orthopedic Department at the University Hospital, and Dr. Ahmed Salah – Instructor at the Department of Urology at Aswan Medicine and a cooperative medical team of volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAl-Dahshoury\u201d<\/span>, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, pointed to the warm welcome from the Tanzanian side, led by the Minister of Health of the<\/span> State of Tanzania,<\/span> Mr. Nassour Ahmed<\/span>, who expressed his warm welcome to the members of the medical convoy team from Aswan University, stressing that this second medical convoy visit comes to the country Tanzania at the invitation of the United State of Tanzania represented by the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, the medical staff also arrived in the city of Zanzibar yesterday, Saturday morning, and it has begun to organize a surgical camp in order to sign a medical examination and perform the necessary surgeries with the provision of free medicines to patients in Tanzania.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

”Al-Dahshoury”<\/span> explained that this comes within the framework of Aswan University\u2019s regional and international role towards the outside community in the African continent, in light of the directions of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi \u2013 President of the Republic, to extend the roots of fruitful and constructive cooperation between Aswan University and African universities, especially after the President\u2019s decree to make Aswan Governorate The capital of culture, economy and Arab and African youth for the African continent<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this context, Aswan University previously sent medical convoys to a number of African countries through the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, which organized a medical convoy for the State of Djibouti, in cooperation with the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the period from 23 to 28 March during the year 2019, another to Tanzania during July 2021, and the work of the convoy will continue until May 20, 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
