The convoy was launched on <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Tuesday<\/strong> <\/span>corresponding to <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">December 7, 2021<\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">\u00a0 The medical convoy was a part of the efforts exerted to implement the presidential initiative \u201c<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Dignified Life<\/strong><\/span>\u201d of the presidential initiative \u201c<strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Survival Ships<\/span><\/strong>\u201d. The initiative is being implemented by the <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Higher Medical Committee and the Medical Relief Committee of the Council of Ministers<\/span><\/strong>, Aswan University, Sonaa Al Kheir for Development Foundation, National Bank of Egypt, Aswan health, Rota Biogen Pharma and Banque Misr Foundation for development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Prof. Ayman Othman<\/strong><\/span> added that the convoy was inaugurated by <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Ambassador. Nabila Makram,<\/strong><\/span> minister of immigration, and <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Maj. Gen. Ashraf Atteya<\/strong><\/span>, governor of Aswan. The village inhabitants expressed their pleasure by welcoming the minister raising Egypt Flags.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Prof. Mohammed Zaki Al Dahshori<\/strong><\/span>, dean of the faculty of medicine and chairman of Aswan university hospitals, said that the convoy is providing medical check-up service to the people of Al-Madiq village in cooperation with community service and environmental development sector of \u00a0the faculty of medicine under the supervision of <span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Prof. Mohamed Mostafa Amin<\/strong><\/span>, vice dean of community service and environmental development, and the university hospital under the management of <strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Dr. Ashraf Meabed<\/span><\/strong>, executive manager of Aswan university hospitals, in (11) medical specialties: ophthalmology, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, dermatology, obstetrics and gynecology, neurology, urology, ENT, and general surgery. Medicine was provided free of charge and complicated cases were transferred to university hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\">\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>Dr. Meabed<\/strong><\/span> stated that the medical convoy was able to check-up 127 cases of children, 157 orthopedic cases, (161) internal medicine cases, 60 cases of obstetrics and gynecology, 144 ENT cases, (80) urology cases, (130) cases of general surgery, (90) ophthalmology cases, and (120) dermatology cases, with a total number of (1069) patients.
