{"id":7051,"date":"2021-09-06T08:23:20","date_gmt":"2021-09-06T08:23:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=7051"},"modified":"2021-09-07T08:51:01","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T08:51:01","slug":"scu-decisions-relating-academic-staff-promotions","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/news\/scu-decisions-relating-academic-staff-promotions\/","title":{"rendered":"SCU Decisions Relating Academic Staff Promotions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-7052 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/SCU-300x172.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" srcset=\"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/SCU-300x172.png 300w, https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/SCU.png 349w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The central administration for councils and university education sectors&#8217; technical and cultural affairs (general administration of councils&#8217; technical affairs) announces that the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>Supreme Council of Universities SCU<\/strong><\/span> decided in its session of 21<sup>st<\/sup> of August 2021 to agree on the legal opinion of the legal advisor of SCU and the legal advisor of the minister of higher education and scientific research regarding setting the required regulations when promoting faculty members from abroad and who work in non-university governmental bodies inside the Arab Republic of Egypt, as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">First:<\/span> the general rule is that the promotion rules issued by the minister of higher education and scientific research are limited to faculty members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Second:<\/span> an exception from the 1<sup>st<\/sup> item is academic staff of private, non-governmental and branches of foreign universities in Egypt, as well as universities and institutes outside Egypt, shall benefit from the aforementioned promotion rules according to the following regulations:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The applicant should be a faculty member of the aforementioned bodies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">To submit the ministerial decree of his\/her appointment or the employment contract from the university approved by the ministry of higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">Submitting the secondment or the full outposting proof from the place of work<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">In case of working in an outside Egypt university or institute, the member must submit a notarized copy of the job contract and the certificate of the university or institute in which he works<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">In case of the aforementioned entities announce vacancies as professors or assistant professors, the documents shall be sent via the regarded university or institute attached by a copy of the announcement and all required documents.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">In any case, the applicant shall not submit documents in-person to the Supreme Council of Universities.
