Commander of Aswan Military Sector, and delegations from the faculties of (medicine &#8211; dentistry &#8211; veterinary medicine &#8211; agriculture and natural resources) at Aswan University, the military hospital and university hospital in Aswan, and a number of civil society institutions, including Maabad Foundation and Thawab Foundation, in the attendance of <strong><span style=\"color: #800000\">Prof. Magdy Mohamed Ali<\/span> <\/strong>&#8211; Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, <span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Dean\/ Ayman Reda<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Secretary General of Aswan Governorate, <span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Dr. Ashraf Maabed<\/strong> <\/span>&#8211; Director General of Aswan University Hospitals, and <span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Prof. Owais Omran<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; Dean of the Institute of African Research and Studies and the Nile Basin countries and a number of doctors in all specialties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>&#8220;Ghallab&#8221;<\/strong><\/span>, Aswan University President , stated that this medical convoy was organized for the people of Al-Alaqi village within the framework of the university&#8217;s social responsibility which aims to provide medical care to our people in various parts of the governorate, especially in remote areas such as (Wadi Al-Alaqi) and within the framework of the state&#8217;s directions through the presidential initiatives that are launched by <span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi<\/strong><\/span>, President of the Republic for interesting in border areas and health care for various groups of society.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Ghallab<\/strong><\/span>, Aswan University President, added that many civil society organizations participated with the university such as <strong>Thawab Foundation<\/strong>,&nbsp; <strong>Misr El Khair Foundation<\/strong>, <strong>Nashr Al-bismih Foundation<\/strong>, and <strong>Tahya Misr Fund<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">The medical convoy included all medical specialties, and medicines were dispensed free of charge for all cases that were examined, as well as there were veterinarians to examine birds and livestock in the village and professors in biological research to ensure the safety of water wells that used for drinking in that area.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\"><span style=\"color: #800000\"><strong>Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury<\/strong><\/span>, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, explained that the convoy included many different medical specialties in the fields of (gynecology and obstetrics, dentistry, dermatology, pediatrics, internal medicine, orthopedics, heart, surgery, ENT, ophthalmology, and neurology)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">Medicines were also distributed free of charge to patients from the village, in addition to transferring some cases that needed surgical intervention to <strong>Aswan University Hospital<\/strong> to complete the treatment, the participants in the convoy felt great pleasure for their success in delivering the medical service to the people of Allaqi that remotes nearly 180 km south eastern Aswan .Despite, the hardship and ruggedness of Al-Alaqi road which takes 10 hours back and forth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;font-size: 14pt;color: #000000\">On the sidelines of the convoy\u2019s work, the university president inspected the university\u2019s headquarter in Wadi Allaqi to activate scientific research for Wadi Allaqi region and deliver health, social, cultural, environmental, agricultural and veterinary services to the people of the village.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-large fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium fasc-style-bold\" style=\"background-color: #b53636;color: #ffffff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/special-units\/\">Relevant Topics<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In early January 2021, Aswan University headed by Prof.Ahmed Ghallab-Aswan University President organized a comprehensive various social and veterinarian convoy, in cooperation with Aswan Governorate and Armed Forces to Al-Alaqi village on the southern borders of Egypt.
