Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman<\/strong><\/span> -the Acting President of Aswan University stated that completing the university’s service, educational and medical role toward Africa, taking into account the humanitarian and strategic dimension, the medical convoy started in Tanzania on Thursday 22nd<\/sup> July 2021 which will continue to 30 July 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

And that is within the frame of the university local and international role toward African society under the directives of President\/ Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi<\/strong><\/span> -President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to extend the productive cooperation between Aswan University and African universities, especially after the President\u2019s decision to make Aswan Governorate the capital of culture, economy, Arab and the African youth to Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n

 Aswan University President added that the convoy is currently performing many delicate surgeries for various malformations in the specialty of “urology and reproductive surgery”, especially congenital malformations of children in Tanzania, Headed by Prof. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury<\/strong> <\/span>– Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Professor of Urology and Endoscopic Surgery. Dr. Ahmed Salah El-Din<\/strong><\/span> \u2013 Lecturer of Urology Department, in Faculty of Medicine at Aswan, and cooperative medical staff of volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAl-Dahshoury\u201d<\/strong><\/span> Faculty of Medicine Dean at Aswan University, indicated that 8 surgeries were performed today from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm in Sheki Hospital and Weti Hospital<\/strong> in Pemba Island- Tanzania.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAl-Dahshoury\u201d<\/strong> <\/span>conducted (5) cases of urethra deformities reparation and (3) cases of prostate enlargement with the help of \u201cSalah\u201d on the first day of the medical convoy\u2019s work.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAl-Dahshoury\u201d<\/strong> <\/span> added that the visit of this medical convoy to Tanzania comes at the invitation of the United State of Tanzania represented by the Tanzanian Ministry of Health in Zanzibar and to organize a surgical camp in order to sign a medical examination and perform the necessary surgeries while providing free medicines to patients in Tanzania.<\/span><\/p>\n
