As part of the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University\u2019s ongoing commitment to promoting scientific research and advancing continuous medical education, the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology organized its monthly Scientific Day at the Specialized Internal Medicine Hospital. The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of faculty members, physicians, and researchers.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury,<\/span> Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; Prof. Ashraf Maabad,<\/span> Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals; and Prof. Ramadan Ghaleb,<\/span> Director of the Specialized Internal Medicine Hospital. It was conducted under the leadership of Prof. Awni Ali Abdel Rahman,<\/span> Head of the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Infectious Diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Scientific Day was organized under the supervision of Dr. Mina Tharwat<\/span>, Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, in collaboration with Dr. Elham Salah,<\/span> Assistant Lecturer in the department.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The program featured a series of specialized presentations addressing recent advances in hepatology and gastroenterology. Dr. Aya Malek delivered a lecture on the latest evidence regarding portal vein thrombosis and the role of anticoagulant therapy in its management. Dr. Reham Adel also presented an overview of current diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for hepatic vein thrombosis.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The event concluded with an engaging scientific discussion that brought together faculty members and physicians, providing a valuable platform for exchanging clinical expertise and reviewing the latest developments in the field.
