Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dashoury,<\/span> Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Ashraf Maabad<\/span>, Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, and Prof. Sahar Hassani, Professor of Gastroenterology and Tropical Medicine in Assiut and Scientific Supervisor of the Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University.<\/span><\/p>\n As part of the ongoing efforts of the Department of Tropical Medicine and Gastroenterology at Aswan University Hospital and its active role in improving healthcare services for the residents of Aswan Governorate and neighboring governorates, and within the framework of the department’s regular scientific day and its continuous activities, a workshop was launched entitled:<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEndoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)\u201d for the treatment of obstructive jaundice.<\/span><\/p>\n Balloon removal of bile duct stones.<\/span><\/p>\n Stent placement. Six cases of obstructive jaundice were treated during the workshop. Physicians from the department received patients for initial examinations daily from Thursday, February 2, 2023, to Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM in the Gastroenterology Department on the third floor of the new Internal Medicine Hospital.
