The General Administration for Technical Affairs of the Councils at the Supreme Council of Universities announces that, with reference to the letter received by the Secretariat of the Supreme Council from the Acting Head of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister\u2019s Office at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which included a briefing on the circular issued by the Assistant Secretary-General for Security Affairs at the Cabinet, the following is hereby noted:<\/span><\/p>\n Recently, a number of fraudulent messages have been circulating on social media platforms, falsely attributed to the Cabinet. <\/span>These messages were sent to employees in certain ministries and governmental entities, claiming to invite them to attend an online meeting with the Prime Minister and requesting that they register their personal data through electronic links. The Cabinet confirms that these messages are entirely fraudulent and bear no connection whatsoever.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Accordingly, the fraudulent messages can be identified by the following characteristics:<\/span><\/p>\n -They are often sent from unknown or suspicious phone numbers.<\/span> <\/p>\n In light of the foregoing, all concerned are required to adhere to the following precautionary measures:<\/span><\/p>\n -Refrain from interacting with such messages or opening any attached links, as they are fraudulent attempts aimed at stealing personal or financial data by pressuring recipients to respond quickly or click on malicious links.<\/span> The General Administration for Technical Affairs of the Councils at the Supreme Council of Universities announces that, with reference to the letter received by the Secretariat of the Supreme Council from the Acting Head of the Central Administration for the Affairs of the Minister\u2019s Office at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which…<\/p>\n
\n-Impersonation of a trusted institution or a government official.<\/span>
\n-Use of enticement or intimidation tactics (e.g., attractive offers or security-related warnings).<\/span>
\n-Inclusion of malicious links or attachments intended to obtain sensitive information.<\/span>
\n-Unexpected requests for organizational, personal, or financial information without a clear or legitimate justification.<\/span>
\n-Persistent pressure urging recipients to take immediate action without sufficient time for verification.<\/span><\/p>\n
\n-Verify the identity of the sender before responding to any requests.<\/span>
\n-Strictly prohibit the sharing of work-related information through social media applications.<\/span>
