Dr. Ahmed Nassour,<\/span> Djibouti’s Minister of Health, received the medical team that was part of the Goodwill Convoy to the “Kofangi”<\/span> Hospital. His Excellency conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the medical team and honored them in recognition of their efforts during the convoy, which began on January 25, 2025 and will run until the end of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury,<\/span> Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ahmed Salah El-Din<\/span>, Lecturer of Urology at the Aswan Faculty of Medicine, were recognized. This is the eighth time that the Department of Urology at Aswan Faculty of Medicine has participated in a medical convoy to Tanzania, motivated by a belief in their service duty to society in general and the African continent specifically.<\/span><\/p>\n

As previously stated by Al-Dahshouri, <\/span>the medical convoy included several medical specialties, including urinary tract surgery, which performed (25) operations on children with deformities, as well as (25) cases on adults, including urinary tract surgeries, endoscopies for stone extraction, and prostatectomy, despite extremely difficult circumstances and limited resources.<\/span><\/p>\n

His Excellency ended on to state that this accolade was the consequence of the Aswan Faculty of Medicine’s involvement in the fifth international medical convoy to Tanzania, where they performed multiple procedures, examined patients, and offered free care.<\/span><\/p>\n

Salah, a professor of urinary tract surgery at the Aswan Faculty of Medicine, explained that this is his sixth international convoy, and that the convoy checked on the patients after the surgeries were performed.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
