Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury<\/span> – Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din Fahmy<\/span> – Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, under the supervision of Dr. Loai Ajlan<\/span> – Head of the Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at Aswan Faculty of Medicine, the department held a workshop on Tuesday morning, December 31, 2024, at the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Clinic at the University Hospital on:<\/span><\/p>\n

“Ultrasound and Joint Injections”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The workshop included the following: –<\/span><\/p>\n

-Ultrasound of the hand and wrist joints for a patient with rheumatoid arthritis who is experiencing joint inflammation.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Shoulder ultrasonography was performed on four cases of shoulder tendon suffocation, and local injections were given to the eligible patients.<\/span><\/p>\n

-Hand ultrasonography of the knees and ankles for a youngster with immunological arthritis who had not responded to previous treatments.<\/span><\/p>\n

-To treat frozen shoulder, a suprascapular nerve block was performed.<\/span><\/p>\n

-A patient’s shoulder was injected while it was inflamed due to rheumatoid arthritis.<\/span><\/p>\n

-A knee effusion was removed for a patient who had active inflammation of the knee joint due to psoriasis.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“Ajlan,”<\/span> the department’s chief, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to those in charge of this work, as a group of doctors from the department attended the workshop, wishing for continued progress and success for his sons, the doctors, and a rapid recovery for all patients.<\/span><\/p>\n
