{"id":21505,"date":"2025-02-04T07:59:04","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T07:59:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/?post_type=news&#038;p=21505"},"modified":"2025-02-17T08:17:25","modified_gmt":"2025-02-17T08:17:25","slug":"a-series-of-workshops-launched-by-the-department-of-physical-medicine-rheumatology-and-rehabilitation-on-ultrasound-and-joint-injections","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/news\/a-series-of-workshops-launched-by-the-department-of-physical-medicine-rheumatology-and-rehabilitation-on-ultrasound-and-joint-injections\/","title":{"rendered":"The Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology, and Rehabilitation started a series of workshops on ultrasound\u00a0and\u00a0 joint injections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">The Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at Aswan Faculty of Medicine held a workshop this morning, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Clinic at the University Hospital entitled <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u201cUltrasound and Joint Injections\u201d.<\/span> This comes under the auspices of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshoury<\/span> &#8211; Dean of the Faculty, and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Prof. Mohamed Salah El-Din Fahmy<\/span> &#8211; Executive Director of Aswan University Hospitals, and under the supervision of <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Dr. Loay Ajlan<\/span> &#8211; Head of the Department, and organized by the department\u2019s doctors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">The workshop activities lasted from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the following was done:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Ultrasound and injection of the right shoulder joint for a patient suffering from shoulder tendon impingement syndrome, tendinitis and acromioclavicular joint osteoarthritis.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Ultrasound and injection of the right shoulder joint for a patient with shoulder stiffness.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Ultrasound for a patient with rheumatoid arthritis suffering from wrist joint inflammation and the necessary treatment was prescribed.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Ultrasound of the left shoulder joint for a patient with shoulder stiffness and the joint was injected and a suprascapular nerve block was performed.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Ultrasound and injection of the left shoulder joint for a patient suffering from shoulder tendonitis.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-Ultrasound and injection for a patient suffering from supraspinatus tendonitis of the right shoulder joint.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 17px;\">-A patient with several disc herniations underwent ultrasound and injection of the spinal nerve root, as well as epidural injection of the spine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-large fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium\" style=\"background-color: #e63120; color: #ffffff;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/med.aswu.edu.eg\/en\/conferences\/\">Relevant Topics<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Physical Medicine, Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at Aswan Faculty of Medicine held a workshop this morning, Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the Rheumatology and Rehabilitation Clinic at the University Hospital entitled \u201cUltrasound and Joint Injections\u201d.
