Prof. Ayman Othman,<\/span> Aswan University President, stated that within the framework of Egypt\u2019s celebration of World Vein Day, the Department of Vascular Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, organized various events and activities, as Egypt is the first African country to lead in this field, in partnership with the International Federation of Phlebology. This comes under the auspices of the President of Aswan University, Prof. Mohamed Zaki El-Dahshouri,<\/span> Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, under the supervision of the Department of Vascular Surgery, represented by Prof. Emad El-Din Hussein, Founder of the Department of Vascular Surgery and Scientific Supervisor of the Department, and the following academic staff:<\/span><\/p>\n Asst. Prof. Mohamed Ismail<\/span>, Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery.<\/span> <\/p>\n Al-Dahshouri,<\/span> Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, added that the celebration of World Vein Day aims to hold celebration activities such as an awareness campaign about the causes and prevention of vein diseases, clots, and chronic venous insufficiency in the service of the community through meetings with citizens and their families in Aswan, along with lectures by the nursing staff and the distribution of publications to citizens to learn about ways to prevent the aforementioned diseases.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cEmad El-Din,\u201d<\/span> founder of the Vascular Surgery Department, pointed out that the department\u2019s work team is conducting a survey of random samples of citizens residing in Aswan to determine the incidence of venous diseases and venous thrombosis in some areas of Aswan, such as the station square and other streets, with the available data analyzed accordingly in coordination with the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, to follow up on the comprehensive prevention plan in the coming years to reduce venous diseases and thrombosis among patients in Aswan.<\/span><\/p>\n
