Opening the nomination window for holding student union elections in 18 faculties and institutes in accordance with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s decision was witnessed today, Thursday, corresponding to November 24, 2022, to Dec. 8, 2022\/2023, under the auspices of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman<\/span>-Aswan University President, under the supervision of Dr. Saud El-Din Nassrat<\/span>, Vice-University President for<\/span><\/p>\n

Othman<\/span>, the president of the university, encouraged students to utilize their democratic rights within student unions inside the faculties and the institution, as well as during the two-stage election process:<\/span><\/p>\n

Initial phase:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Opening the nomination window on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., followed by the announcement of the initial statements, the receipt of grievances, the announcement of the final statements and electoral propaganda, the election of committee members at the batch level for the first round, the election being run again, the election of committee secretaries and their assistants at the faculty level, the election of the head union and his vice at the faculty level.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next stage:<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This begins with the election of the senior committee secretaries and assistant committee secretaries, opens the nomination door, votes, and screens, then adjourns with the announcement of the election results in perfect transparency.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Prof. Mustafa Adam Al-Tiri<\/span>, the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Committee’s Head, and the Gentle Members of the Committee by his side, Nassrat<\/span>, the Vice-University President for Education and Student Affairs, visited the headquarters of the student union elections committee at the headquarter of the Faculty of Medicine, Aswan University, New Aswan City. Students from different batches are nominated by faculty students to serve on student union committees.<\/span><\/p>\n

The procedures for withdrawing and submitting election papers started at 9 a.m. and continued until 3 p.m. The nomination door for student elections on their first day has now been closed.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
